Attendance on the first day of the academic year is compulsory.
Regular attendance is of utmost importance. However, if a student is absent, a written statement, signed by the Parent/Guardian is required on the day the pupil returns. If a student is absent for more than 3 days for reasons of ill health a certificate from a Doctor is required stating illness and fitness. If a student is continuously absent for a period more than 30 days. His or her name will be taken off the school record.
Any child afflicted by infectious disease must complete the quarantine period before re-joining class.
Explanatory note for absence should be handed to the class teacher after being forwarded by the Headmistress.
Students absent for more than 20% of class meetings in a year shall not be eligible for promotion to the next class.
Punctuality is highly encouraged, a student found to be habitually late will be sent home and will be considered absent for the day.
